A new year, new goals...

I looked at the calendar this morning as I was planning my to-do list for the day and realized we are 1/2 way through January! There is a feeling of revival in my spirit and I am liking 2013 so far!

As I write this today I am filled with joy. My boys have left for school. I have been to the gym. I am sitting on my bed {it is way too cold downstairs} to write this as I enjoy a cup of my favorite tea {Constant Comment}. My dogs are crashed out at the end of the bed, waiting to see my next move. It is peaceful.

I see that it has been a year since I blogged. I have felt drawn to write many times, yet never did. When my mind is full of thoughts, I find that writing them down helps me sort through them. Since I prefer being authentic, I find it hard to write about nothing at times when things in my life aren't easy to acknowledge. That is something I am working on.

Jonathan is starting his third year at the State Treasurer's office. He still likes his job and working downtown. He has added going to the gym daily into his routine. I am very proud of him and his dedication to getting fit.

Steven just started the second half of his Junior year at Jesuit. He got his drivers license and we got him a car so he is driving himself to & from school. He is planning to go on a mission trip to Mexicali in April with a local church youth group that he attends with friends. We are starting to look at colleges and schedule SATs and I can hardly believe it.

Jackson is in 8th grade. He has a girlfriend and is playing Rugby. He is super social and spends lots of time with his friends. He is taking Confirmation this year and has classes weekly. Applying to Jesuit is in full swing with the admissions test happening next weekend.

My plan for 2013 -- Simple Abundance. I know that through daily prayer, setting of intentions and goal planning I can achieve it. I want to leave the chaos of 2012 behind and glide into 2013.
